Review

This is the 2nd adventure game in the Diner Dash series that's impressed me with how well the developers have gone from one genre (time management) to another (adventure). Like the 1st "Avenue Flo" offering, this one contained a good balance of adventure and puzzles, except it was more fun because of the longer puzzles and more unique & challenging minigames which increased the replayability factor.

All graphics were done in the usual Diner Dash signature cartoony style, and the plot requires you to save the day when Quinn's planning for another DinerTown character's baby shower goes awry. You explore DinerTown and accomplish tasks, solving puzzles along the way, to eventually help Quinn put things right.

Other than the horizontal panning from one screen to another when Flo moves, which caused me to get motion sickness, the game was perfect. The general mood is cheery and pleasant, the dialogue never stale, and there's lots of exploring to do. There's also a "hidden object" component in that you have to search for balloons and bottles across several screens. Puzzles were well thought out and well-integrated into the context of the story.

Now my only hope is that if the developers ever release another game in this same series, it will be as good as this one or better!.
