As a Time Management fan, I am always delighted at the release of another in this under-represented genre. "Katy and Bob" is a colorful, upbeat, action-packed delight. Another entry in the beach-bar variety, it nonetheless has unique features that distinguish it from its predecessors. Among the innovations are impatient monkeys who need to be served in separate part of the restaurant, and a triple reward system involving hearts which can set off customer-pleasing fireworks, money which can upgrade the premises, and special gold coins earned for completing tasks, which can upgrade characters' abilities. I found collecting the different rewards an interesting challenge, and enjoyed finding ways to meet the gold-coin tasks.

The graphics are bright and charming. Various customer types come with differing patience levels. There are at least two difficulty settings, the more challenging of which was getting pretty chaotic in the second hour of play..
