Review

The only thing I deducted a star for this game from 5 for is the fact that each level took AGES to load, and it ain't my computer that is the problem. However, other than this, Spooky Mall is an excellent Time Management game and really good value for money as there are 5 different stores (all food) within the mall, each with 20 levels making 100 in total - that is twice as many as the average TM game. If you liked Supermarket Management then you will love this, there are loads of upgrades as well including bigger displays, more stuff in your trolley for restocking, intelligent displays so customers do not have to ask you questions, checkouts that make customers waiting more patient when you upgrade, and in the last few levels of each shop you get the chance to buy staff and decorations (these don't do anything except look nice). The upgrades are spread out so you can't buy them all at once but this is not a bad thing as it makes the game moderately challenging. There are tables where you need to click on them and then combine items from the 3 displays that are glowing and click on the table again - I mention this as someone appeared to have difficulty with it. There are three levels of "passing" for each level - bronze, silver and gold - I never got bronze but had to replay a few levels to get gold, particularly in the final shop. This game is fast paced and never boring, nice clear cartoon-type graphics and inoffensive music. So long as you are not put off by having to wait a little while for each level to load (maybe 20 seconds, I didn't time it) then this is a great game with lots of gameplay. Recommended (if you are a Wild Tangent subscriber then you can try it for free, or rent it if you are not sure about it). One final point - others have mentioned bugs, I experienced none of these other than the slow level loading..
