Review

Those familiar with the Diner Dash games can expect the same level of fun, with a few new elements added. However, be prepared for bugs.

The game crashed 3 times for me, twice while I was buying upgrades for the restaurant and once while I was serving customers. And during one of the levels, a couple suddenly disappeared while seated at a table, yet I was still awarded points for serving them!

Many customer types are the same as in previous Diner games (e.g. senior, businesswoman, patient young lady, hungry man, etc), while some have been removed (e.g. family with kids) and replaced with new ones (e.g. lawyer, librarian). The new customer types involve a different strategy, so that was refreshing.

Storywise, things are fun and interesting. Cutscenes are cartoon style animation like the rest of the Diner games, with good voiceovers. As you progress, more of the plot is revealed, culminating in an amusing ending.

The last level was badly done though. Some tables were way too near each other, so clicking on the right table was very difficult. I had to restart the last level numerous times because of this frustrating issue.

If you're a Diner fan, I'd still recommend this one though. But be warned there isn't much replay value, since there is no "unlimited mode", and completing the game doesn't unlock any bonus levels or anything like that. Also, it was quite short - I completed the entire game with all levels at expert score in about 4 hours..
