Review

Barb has always been my favorite character in the dash series. I was very eager to see her in the lead role in a game. But honestly, I expected a fast paced game from the ever-in-a-rush girl. Here was the disappointment. The relaxing Barb idea is sweet but hasn't been well executed. The graphics have taken a sharp decline for a dash series. The customers are not too interactive. That part of the fun is really missing. Also, the gameplay is slow and tedious. There are too many orders of different kinds from the earliest stages. Upgrading pots was not fully utilised. You can't pick up more than one upgrade for a pot. Also, every plant has a different kind of requirement. Although this could really add to the challenge of the game, it turns out making it lengthy. I didn't find making Barb pick up things easy either. She just picks up one seed at a time The earlier dash games like cooking dash 3 filled in a lot of intelligence on the character. For eg. in cooking dash, Flo could decide which food to retain and which to dispose if she had both kinds in her hand.

All in all, though the characters look cute and I am always emotionally inclined towards seeing my favorite characters of Dinertown, the game has regressed the dash series to a few years. Also, a Barb fan like me is completely disappointed for her debut as a heroine. The game idea is charming, it needs to be upgraded to today's level. All the best for hotel dash 2 as of now, Playfirst. I'm looking forward to it. Please don't disappoint your avid dash fan again!.....
