Review

In my review of Roads of Rome 2, I mentioned that I very rarely play resource management games. However, I am a big Diner Dash fan, which I suppose is similar in certain ways (time management). I decided to play this original game, even though RoR 2 had been notoriously addictive.

I enjoyed Roads of Rome 1 just as much as Roads of Rome 2. It was interesting to note the little changes that were made after this release, and I was glad they took out the drop minigame in number two.

One thing was good, I was determined to complete all levels as expert, which I did, and quickly too. This was because I had lots of practice in number two and had the gameplay sussed by then, albeit slightly different.

I loved the wolf, lion and scary bears, and the little guys are really cute. They remind me of little figurines of monks that I bought as a souvenir when I was in Assisi, Italy.

Just as in version 2, the graphics were good and clear. I missed old Conan the Barbarian in this game..
